Some months ago we had the chance to meet Anna Germanou via our page on Glossom platform. Anna is a graphic designer from Greece, who is based in Thessaloniki. She bought a copy of BOLO, and after some weeks she came back to us with this photoes. She did a small serie of one-of-a-kind clutch hand bags, using the pages of our magazine! They are now available on her website called SPANAKI !

SPANAKI [spanáki] is the greek word for spinach used for both our graphic designs & handcrafted accessories.

All SPANAKI products are eco-friendly and made by reusing existing useless items. Made locally, sustainably, and with a love for craft by Anna Germanou.

 

SPANAKI product inspiration is founded in every day life. Books, magazines, Vinyl records. The object of SPANAKI is to turn the ordinary to extraordinary, and to add function, beauty and sparkle along the way into every product they design.


 

This is not the first time that Anna uses a magazine to make her clutch; each magazine is carefully opened by the binding and cut in the proper size. The best pages are chosen to be used for the outside of the clutch. Those chosen are afterwards, combined with other pages, that will construct the inside, the pocket and the two sides of the clutch.
