Lök is an artistic collective foundend in 2011, aiming to share young artists’ works, through self-publishing. Its main fields of reserch are illustration and comics, but it’s open to other media as well (short sotires, photography…).
The magazine by the same name counts three issues and two recent monographs, that were presented in an exhibition; the group also organizes artistic and cultural events.

Next Issue’s theme is going to be “Space”, all works must keep to the theme, the author is free to follow his/her creativity.
Every illustrator, comics author, photographer, writer can enter the contest as long as they’re overflowing with ideas!
You can enter the contest with:
- ILLUSTRATIONS: 3 to 6 original, finished, black and white or grayscale illustrations or color (even with a text as long as it has been written by the author himself or a text used with permission).
- COMICS: 3 to 6 original, finished, b/w, grayscale pages or color.
- PHOTOGRAPHIES: 4 to 6 original b/w pictures or color.
- ARTICLES/SHORT STORIES: max 3200 keystrokes.
Single page illustrations must be 19,4cm x 27,4cm (with 5 mm for the bleed).
Double page illustrations must be 38,8cm x 27,4cm (with 5mm for the bleed).
Comics pages must be: 19,4cm x 27,4cm (light blue rectangle in the scheme below), for internal distances check the scheme below (fuchsia rectange) and 5mm for the bleed (black rectangle).
All your works must be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org in Greyscale 600 dpi in .TIFF or .JPEG or 300 dpi for color. The name of the file must be your name, by midnight of the 19st of March 2012.
Articles and Short Stories must be e-mailed to email@example.com the name of the file must be your name, by midnight the 19st of March 2012.
The Subject of the mail must be “Lok Space”
In the mail body write your name, surname and the address of your blog/site or you e-mail.
All selected works will be published on Lok #03. Winners will have to donate 10€ to support the self-production.
Works that won’t make it to the magazine are going to be published on our Blog.
