Asylum is a multimedia project and consideration on the concept of “home as a nest” created by two italian illustrators: Martina Merlini and Tellas.

The nest is a place where people can regress or evolve to the stage of their purest and intimate nature. But each day we are forced to leave it to reach to the outside world. And then come back again to it.

Asylum is the publication you see here, but not only…

This deep consideration of a intimate and enveloping living dimension make the user thinks how fragile and transient our living condition is.

The publication contains also a cd with some ambient tracks made by the multi-instrumentalist Enrico Gabrielli.

Asylum is also a complex installation project, now exhibited at Zelle art gallery in Palermo. Here the concept is represented through a precarious and evocative architecture, based on several levels..

It starts from the abstractive naturalistic drawings of Tellas, then it goes to several bird illustrated tables by Martina Merlini and it ends with sound walls generated by multi-instrumentalist Enrico Gabrielli.
